Graceland

Some people see Graceland as a mecca of sorts. I am not one of those people. I am an Elvis fan, and I figure, when in Rome, or in this case, when in Memphis. However, there are some serious fans, and part of me is visiting because I want to see the mega fans of Elvis.

Enterprise Alabama

My sister and I plan to visit several cities on our tour through the South. One of the destinations is Enterprise, Alabama. And the reason my sister and I are going is all due to a single dollar bill. Well, a website on a dollar bill. The website, wheresgeorge.com is a currency tracking website. If you find a bill marked "wheresgeorge.com" you can enter the serial number on the website and follow to where that bill has been. I found a dollar bill when I was staying in Martha's Vineyard, Massachusetts, and I got a dollar bill from Enterprise, Alabama. Being an inquisitive person, I decided to search for what was in Enterprise, and I was not disappointed. Enterprise has a statue dedicated to the bow weevil, which is an insect that destroyed cotton crops. This insect actually forced the farmers in Enterprise to diversify their crops, which actually strengthened their economy. So they erected a statue of the bow weevil. Enterprise has the only known statue dedicated to an insect, and I want a photo.
